Without warning, a tall ladder rattled and clanged and then settled against the side of the building just outside our unit. Within moments, a strong spray of water pelted our windows and balcony. There was no manpower in sight. The pounding water was withdrawn and then reappeared minutes later, this time more directly. From where? Why? We can only guess.

Outdoor temperature was in the 60’s – perfect for letting the fresh air in. Thankfully our windows happened to be closed. Were yours?
